VMATYC 2008 CONFERENCE
The Spring 2008 VMATYC conference will be in Charlottesville on April 4 and 5. If you wish to present to your colleagues, please download an application for presenters, fill it out, and send to Jonathan Hexter at PVCC. Applications are due by late January.
Conference hotel reservations:Our conference hotel is the Comfort Inn Monticello, 2097 Inn Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22911. The hotel is very convenient to PVCC—only 3.8 miles away and almost all of this drive on I-64.
If you know for sure you will be attending, please reserve your room at your earliest convenience by calling the hotel at 434-977-3300. Ask for the VMATYC Group block reservation. The room rate is $119.95 for Friday night. As is customary, you will end up only paying half of this if you stay by yourself in a room and none of it if you share a room with a VMATYC colleague. (For those staying Thursday night, the rate is $87.00, and for those staying Saturday night, the rate is $119.95.)
The reason we need people to reserve early is that the Comfort Inn can only hold us fifty rooms until we fill that amount—once we have reserved 50 rooms, then we will be able to have more rooms reserved for conference attendees.
